Welcome to PupFile. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of PupFile, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy.

2. Description of Service

PupFile provides a web-based platform for tracking dog care activities including but not limited to: meal logging, medication tracking, bathroom monitoring, food diary, symptom tracking, grooming appointments, QR-based emergency tags, AI-generated vet reports, and sitter coordination tools.

We offer four subscription tiers: Starter (free), Basic, Family, and Pro. Features available depend on your chosen tier. We reserve the right to modify features and pricing with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 13 years old to use PupFile.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@pupfile.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected. Payments are processed securely by Paystack. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis.

4.2 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
If you cancel, your account reverts to the Starter tier at the end of the billing cycle.

4.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to use PupFile only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not misuse the platform, including attempting to access another user's data, introducing malware, or interfering with the service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, including pet health and medical information.
AI-generated vet reports are informational tools only and do not replace professional veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions.
QR tags and location sharing should only be used for legitimate emergency purposes.

6. Intellectual Property

PupFile, the PupFile logo, and all platform code, design, and content are owned by PupFile and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the platform (pet information, logs, etc.). You grant PupFile a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. AI-Generated Content

AI vet reports are generated using third-party AI services. These reports:

Are for informational purposes only and do not constitute veterinary advice
May contain inaccuracies or omissions
Should not be used as the sole basis for medical decisions
Are not a substitute for professional veterinary consultation

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PupFile and its operators shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunity
Damages resulting from use or inability to use the service
Health outcomes or decisions made based on platform data or AI reports
Unauthorized access to your data due to compromised credentials

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

PupFile is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated reports or any platform content.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Non-payment of subscription fees
Conduct that may harm other users or the platform

Upon termination, your access to the platform ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the platform. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
